Description:

ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability 2 (DARC2) program.

In this role you will provide Systems Engineering support to IPTs with strong focus on traditional system engineering best practices. This includes requirements decomposition, and technical expertise for the product line that they primarily support.

Job Duties:
  • Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Assist with the generation of well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.
  • Support system/subsystems integration, test, and requirements verification activities.
  • Support system technical performance measurement definition and tracking.
  • Support the preparation of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed.
  • Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status
  • Minimal travel is expected.


Basic Qualification
  • Must me a U.S. citizen
  • Active Secret clearance at the time of application.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of applicable experience
  • Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management
  • Familiarity with DOORS
  • Experience working with cross-functional integrated product teams
  • Experience working through the Systems Engineering lifecycle process for system development
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Expertise with MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to project plan and execute
  • Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus
  • Familiar with Radar Systems
