Job Title: Systems Analyst
Responsibilities: - Understands business objectives and problems
- Identifies alternative solutions
- Performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer system
- Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to:
- Analyze current operational procedures
- Identify problems
- Learn specific input and output requirements, such as:
- Forms of data input
- How data is to be summarized
- Formats for reports
- Writes detailed description of:
- User needs
- Program functions
- Steps required to develop or modify computer program
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
SHARP Responsibilities: - Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by creating data pipelines, dashboards and reports using Informatica IICS, Tableau or PowerBI as determined by the business requirements
- Contractor will:
- Translate business requirements into data pipelines and Tableau/PowerBI reports
- Work with the program staff to ensure it meets the needs of the customer
- Participate in testing of pipelines, reports and dashboards to ensure proper function
- Work with coworkers to publish and promote the reports as needed
- Experience with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred
Schedule / Location: - 2 days remote, 3 days on site (Tues, Wed & Fri)
- Candidates must be local to the Austin area (within 50-mile radius)
- Subject to change per hiring manager or as needed

Preferred Skills/Experience 8 Required Creating dashboards or reports using Tableau / PowerBI or similar tools. 8 Required Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and data management experience using Informatica. 4 Preferred working with very large scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, , or similar. Snowflake experience strongly preferred. 4 Preferred experience with data analysis 2 Preferred experience working with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred. 2 Preferred working with Tableau creating dashboards and reports. 2 Preferred working with PowerBI creating dashboards and reports.
