Responsibilities:
  • Manages organization-wide Microsoft/Linux environment and applications; monitors and maintains systems
  • Configures and manages mobile device inventory and back-end infrastructure; configures and adds new services as necessary
  • Audits and manages systems by monitoring logs, servers, and appliances
  • Applies system patches and upgrades to ensure security and create new features; researches, reviews, and recommends innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Manages backup and recovery solutions
  • Troubleshoots issues by providing Tier 3 support for the computing services team
  • Analyzes the health and performance of virtual servers and their resources inside VMware for vCenter and vCenter Operations Manager
  • Manages SAN environment, including the creation, configuration, and implementation of virtual servers
  • Maintains and configures all aspects within the Active Directory environment

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and 4 years' experience
  • MCSE Server Infrastructure, VMware, and EMC certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of desktop and server operating systems such as Microsoft, Linux and Mac OS within an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Knowledge of SCCM architecture, configuration, and administration
  • Knowledge and experience regarding infrastructure monitoring solutions
    Knowledge and understanding of desktop and server hardware, software, and virtualization utilizing VMware
  • Knowledge of backup/disaster recovery hardware, software, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory & related technologies (DNS, Group Policies, etc.)
  • Knowledge of various methods and approaches to troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and their configuration/management within an enterprise environment
  • Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures
  • Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to participate in setting strategic environment goals
  • Ability to train users in applications and operating system fundamentals and to write basic documentation
  • Ability to establish processes and automate them to track and implement system solutions


Hiring Rate: $83,389 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
