Description
EOA Technologies is seeking a
Systems Administrator on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for:
- Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
- Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
- Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Apply patches and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot server issues.
- Administer customer accounts
- Deploy monitoring tools.
- Deploy applications and tools.
- Assist with escalated customer tickets.
- Installation and cabling of equipment
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- IAT Level 2 Certification
- Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
- Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
- Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
- Desired: Syslog/NxLog, Nagios or other similar monitoring applications, Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline OR Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
