Position Overview
As the OMC Systems Administrator, you will act as a model of customer service excellence to all organizational staff members in the 6.14.12 Office of Military Commissions Dedicated Support (OPTIONAL) as part of DISA6 C4E J6 Service Delivery contract. You willbe responsible forproviding O26M support for OMC MCDO NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and SAP system infrastructure at CG1, managing virtualized environments and workstation images in support of approximately 400 OMC users. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Empower AI6s mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
The primary duty of this position is the independent application of advanced systems analysis techniques and highly specialized knowledge in enterprise systems administration to provide O26M support for OMC NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and SAP environments infrastructure. The candidate applies expert-level expertise in VMware virtualization, VDI, Microsoft Windows Server, RHEL, SQL, SAN, and DoD STIG compliance to independently configure, maintain, and ensure the integrity of all OMC IT systems supporting approximately 400 NIPR/SIPR/JWICS users and 150 SAP users.
Primary Duty
- Independently provides O26M support for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS system infrastructure supporting approximately 400 OMC users and SAP infrastructure supporting approximately 150 users; applies highly specialized systems administration knowledge tomaintainsystem integrity and performance.
- Independently provides O26M support for VMware virtualized infrastructurecomprisingMicrosoft Windows Servers and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems; develops, implements, manages, and maintains VDI for thick, thin, and zero clients and server virtualization technologies.
- Independently provides O26M support for SQL Database infrastructure, SAN, and encrypted file storage capabilities; supports replication of network file share volumes via DFS-R between NCR and NSGB locations.
- Creates andmaintainsstandalone workstation images IAW DoD security standards; independently provides systems recovery and repair operations employing industry best practices for troubleshooting and fault isolation.
- Provides data backup and restoration capabilities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and Special AccessSystems;implements andvalidatessystem upgrades to guarantee longevity and operational readiness.
- Independentlyassistsin testing and deployment of new applications and systems;maintainsaccuratecomputer inventory and surplus equipment records; documents all activities in ServiceNow.
Highlights of Responsibilities
In fulfillment of the primary duty described above, and in performance of PWS Section 6.14.12 task requirements, the candidateis responsible for:
- Providing O26M support for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS system infrastructure supporting approximately 400 OMC users.
- Providing O26M support for Special Access System (SAP) infrastructure supporting approximately 150 users.
- Providing O26M support for VMware virtualized infrastructurecomprisingMicrosoft Windows Servers and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
- Providing O26M support for printer infrastructure including Pharos Secure Print.
- Developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining VDI for thick, thin, and zero clients and server virtualization technologies.
- Providing O26M support for SQL Database infrastructure.
- Providing O26M support for OMC server and desktop-based software applications.
- Providing data backup and restoration capabilities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and Special Access Systems.
- Supporting replication of network file share volumes via Distributed File System with Replication (DFS-R) between NCR and NSGB locations.
- Providing support for storage area network (SAN) and encrypted file storage capabilities.
- Creating andmaintainingstandalone workstationimagesIAW DoD security standards.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently apply advanced systems analysis techniques and highly specialized knowledge in enterprise systems administration including VMware, VDI, Windows Server, RHEL, SQL, and SAN across NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and SAP environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of DoD STIG compliance, ATO processes, and multi-classificationOMC IT infrastructure.
- Strong customer service orientation withdemonstratedexperience in mission-critical or classified IT support environments.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Ability to conduct research into PC and software issues and products asrequired.
- Highly self-motivated and directed; capable of operating with minimal supervision.
- Keen attention to detail and rigorous documentation standards consistent with DoD compliance requirements.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
Education and Experience
- Required Education: Bachelor6s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of vendor certification (including vendor certification in the technology being applied) and directly relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Required Experience: 9 or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in enterprise systems administration, VMware virtualization, or multi-classification network environments.
- Prior experience supporting a DoD or J6 or OMC customer environment is strongly preferred.
- Required Certifications: ITIL v4 Foundations, CompTIA Security+ (or higher DoD 81409approved certification), Microsoft Certification (one required):
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/801)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Equivalent Microsoft role-based certification aligned to server, infrastructure, or identity management
- Preferred Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) 6 relevant track (e.g., VCP-DCV, VCP-VCF)
