Full Job Description

Leidos is preparing as we anticipated a need for a Systems Administrator to support enterprise Air Force application and middleware environments within the Human Resources Systems Technical Support III (HRSTS-III) program. The role supports Linux-based middleware, messaging, web application, and database platforms in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide administration, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting support for enterprise middleware and application platforms within Linux-based web application, enterprise messaging, and database environments. 

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and operational health while troubleshooting application, integration, and connectivity issues. 

  • Support deployments, upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities, and develop automation and shell scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency. 

  • Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, database, and application teams to support production operations, maintenance activities, and incident response.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

  • Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification. 

  • Experience supporting Linux server environments and enterprise application platforms. 

  • Experience supporting middleware, web application, messaging, or database technologies in production environments. 

  • Experience with shell scripting, Bash, automation tooling, or related operational scripting. 

  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise application or middleware environments. 

  • Familiarity with technologies such as IBM WebSphere Liberty, IBM HTTP Server (IHS), IBM MQ, Oracle database platforms, or similar enterprise technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise middleware, messaging, or integration technologies. 

  • Familiarity with IBM DataPower Gateway, Oracle database administration, or API/web service integrations. 

  • Experience supporting vulnerability remediation, STIG compliance, and RMF activities. 

  • Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical production environments. 

  • Experience supporting Air Force or other federal government enterprise systems.

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
