ROLE

The Ntech Engineering Operations team at Netflix focuses on optimizing operational efficiency by streamlining and automating workflows, reducing overhead, and ensuring our systems scale effectively. We provide a broad portfolio of services across first- and third-party enterprise systems and SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Zendesk, and Slack. As a centralized team of operations experts, we aim to remove friction, simplify workflows, and provide technical solutions to Netflix employees so they can focus on bringing engaging stories to our members all over the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a high-responsibility service owner for a broad range of enterprise applications
  • Relentlessly pursue system and process improvements with a keen eye for how engineering solutions reduce toil and eliminate manual tasks
  • Administer, manage, and configure a variety of internal tools and SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zendesk
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure to support our services
  • Develop, test, and deploy API integrations between our platforms and web services
  • Implement and improve monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues
  • Partner closely with Product Management and business teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and engineering solutions (e.g. self-service tools to help our Support teams scale)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer or similar role OR 3+ years of experience in a Systems Specialist or Systems Administrator role
  • Expertise managing enterprise software solutions like Slack, Google Workspace, and Zendesk
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Go, Java or JavaScript/Node.js)
  • Experience with using APIs to integrate and extend 1st- and 3rd-party applications
  • Experience with low-code/no-code development platforms like Workato and Okta Workflows
  • Experience with generative AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Gemini, and Antigravity
  • Familiarity with generative AI concepts including MCP, RAG, context windows, token usage, system prompts, prompt engineering, and prompt injection
  • Experience with identity and access management and authorization concepts and protocols including RBAC, SCIM, SAML, and OAuth
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and microservice architectures
  • Experience with incident management and response
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Proven ability to cultivate relationships through influence
  • Proven ability to assess complex issues and implement effective solutions


Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $225,000.00 - $360,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
