We are seeking a System Engineer to join the ClassifyIT team. You will collaborate directly with developers and customers to enhance the classification marking tool and support new capabilities for M365 web-based applications. Responsibilities- Work closely with a team of developers to design, integrate, and test new capabilities for the classification marking tool across multiple fabrics.
- Document the full lifecycle of software development, including system design, requirements, and test procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, gather and clarify requirements, and propose effective solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to understand needs, address user-reported issues, and generate detailed bug reports when needed.
- Test new software releases, validate functionality, and clearly document results and findings.
- Create and maintain standard system engineering, process, and test documentation.
QualificationsRequired- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 3+ years of experience as a System Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or 5 additional years of SE experience in lieu of a degree)
- Experience generating standard system engineering and test documentation
- Strong written communication skills, with experience producing technical and process documentation
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Wiki-based tools
- Experience with AWS (ability to navigate services and dashboards)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with developers, contractors, and government stakeholders
Desired- Ability to analyze system requirements, CONOPS, and architecture to create detailed requirement specifications
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and validating customer requirements
- Ability to triage and track user issues, questions, and feedback
- Skill in establishing internal schedules, milestones, and reporting status (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Experience documenting processes and preparing formal deliverables for government customers
- Ability to capture meeting minutes and track action items
- Experience testing new configurations and software releases, including coordinating test users and documenting results
- Ability to coordinate software deliveries with external organizations
- Experience contributing to high-level documentation, user guides, and technical materials
- Strong time management and organizational skills

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$79,400 - $162,700
