Position SummaryBase-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator who provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The role manages IT system infrastructure and related processes, supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Support escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution processes.
- Configure and manage virtual and storage environments; Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
- Install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure virtual, storage, and network components.
- Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Configure and manage Linux/CentOS operating systems and install/load operating system software with enhancements.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components.
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Utilize system monitoring tools such as HP Tools / OneView, Sitescope.
- Apply virtualization experience.
- Use team collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub, and ServiceNow.
Required Qualifications- Fifteen (15) years experience as a system/network administrator.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional system/network administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Preferred QualificationsRequired Education and Experience Equivalency- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university with 15 years experience as a system/network administrator.
- No bachelor's degree with 20 years experience as a system/network administrator (15 + 5 additional years).
Required CertificationsRequired Security Clearance- Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
