System Architecture Engineer to support the
Missile Defense Agency. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:- Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance.
- Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools utilizing the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products.
- Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
- Solid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future concepts.
- Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures.
- Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts.
- Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus.
- Experience with BMD Benchmark.
- Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities.
- Ability to perform technology assessment & analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies.
- Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures.
- MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures.
