Job Summary:Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support the evaluation and implementation of a new investment data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. Experience in investment or financial services environments is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and document current-state business processes, systems, data flows, and integration points.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather and validate business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Define future-state workflows and operating models aligned with the new investment data platform.
- Create and maintain business requirements, process maps, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Perform data mapping, validation, and reconciliation during platform implementation.
- Develop and execute testing strategies, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support change management, user adoption, and transition to new business processes.
- Analyze data and provide reporting to support platform stabilization and continuous improvement.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 7+ years of experience in:
- Business and systems analysis
- Requirements gathering and documentation
- Business process improvement
- Test planning and execution
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience creating technical documentation, including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- Process Maps
- Data Flow Diagrams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with SQL and/or Python.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or other RPA tools.
- Investment management or financial markets industry experience.
Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Move Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university. Required 4 Years Experience in gathering and documenting requirements, improving business and technical processes, and creating and implementing testing plans. Required 7 Years Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail to help solve problems and make decisions. Required Experience writing technical documentation (requirements, process maps, etc.). Required Excellent communicator and be able to produce clear and concise documentation. Required Demonstrated experience working in a team environment. Required Experience using programming languages such as SQL or python. Highly desired Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau or Power BI.
