Full Job Description
In this role, you will provide comprehensive support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. You will manage IT system infrastructure, including client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and associated processes, ensuring operational reliability and performance. You will provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, and coordinate escalations while communicating status updates to agency management and internal customers. You will configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot and maintain system integrity, configure network components, and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Additionally, you will optimize system operations, conduct capacity analysis and planning, and provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated issues.

Required Skills:
  • Strong experience with IT systems administration, configuration, and daily operational support.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and IT infrastructure components.
  • Proficiency in managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
  • Experience with system security, including container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement, and security reporting tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure tools such as ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and RedHat SELinux security tool suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to internal customers and management.


Education/Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator in programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required; five additional years of SA experience may be substituted for a degree.

Clearance:
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
