Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
System Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to
assist in the growth of Parsons Classified Networks.
Responsibilities:- Systems Administration duties include all components of classified information systems
- Systems will consist of Microsoft Windows, Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux components
- While performing these tasks, the SA will partner with their users and act as an advocate for their computing needs.
- The candidate will be expected to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to accomplish tasks.
- A customer-first mindset is required for this position, and the candidate must be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging problems.
- Assist customers, working within various US Government policy frameworks, while still meeting their goals.
- Assist Information System Security personnel with documentation required for RMF compliance.
- Make improvements to and suggestions on our current operations. Success in these endeavors will require attention to detail, critical thinking, and solid organizational skills.
- Research new technologies, their best practices and implement those new technologies securely into our environments.
- Remediate information system vulnerabilities in line with best practices and IAVAs.
- This position requires effective written and oral communication skills.
Requirements:- Must be a US citizen.
- Candidate must be at least IAT II, Security+ CE or other certification.
- 10+ years' experience and bachelor's degree in information systems, or related degree; or equivalent professional experience.
- The candidate will support an air-gapped network, providing hardware/software configuration, deployment, maintenance and management of the systems.
- The candidate must have experience of managing a Windows Active Directory Domain and knowledge of IPV4 Networking will be beneficial.
- The candidate should be familiar with the principles of automation and familiar with PowerShell, bash or ansible.
- The candidate should have a strong understanding of computer hardware.
- The candidate should have strong troubleshooting methodology and processing.
- The candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge of current backup hardware and software mechanisms for disaster recovery and continuity of operations.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working with military, civilians, and other DOD contractors
- TACLANE configuration and management
- It is desired that the candidate be familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM/32 CFR, JSIG) Experience with RMF accreditation process is a plus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and knowledge of their concepts would be preferred.
- Microsoft and CISCO Certifications would be preferred.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: - Must have an active DOD Secret clearance pre-start. Clearance must be active at time of hire. This individual will be required to obtain a CI Polygraph upon hire. This position requires that the candidate be able to acquire and maintain a Top Secret / SCI Security.
Security Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
This position is part of our Corporate team.
Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
