Job Description:
Day to Day job Duties:Provide production support for multiple database platforms (Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase IQ, UDB DB2, Sybase Replication, UDB DB2, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, Mongo DB, Oracle database) infrastructure globally.
Provide Support for:
- Alert resolution, Provisioning activities & User Requests.
- Database implementation, migrations, lifecycle upgrades and capacity planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams
- Flexible to work in weekend shifts.
Must-Haves:3+ years of experience in Database Administration
3+years of Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE and/or DB2
3+ years of Experience in supporting database/center migrations
3+years of Strong understanding of:
- Database administration tasks
- Troubleshooting and performance analysis
- SQL and database architecture
- Database upgrade and migration
- 3+ years of Experience with job scheduling tools (Autosys, cron, bash scripting)
- Ability to follow and execute runbooks in a production environment
- 3+ years of Experience working in Linux environments (primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus.
Nice-to-Haves: - Exposure to additional databases (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong learning mindset and adaptability
- High level of ownership and results-driven attitude
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $60-$60/hour. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
