Standard Job DescriptionThe Product Sustainment Engineer (Process Integration Engineering team) drives depot-level repair, modification, and refurbishment of Integrated Dewar Cooler Assemblies (IDCA) across multiple programs. Acting as the logistics liaison, you'll coordinate material repairs/upgrades and deliver data-driven recommendations for procurement and sustainment planning.
As a Sustainment Engineer, you'll collaborate with engineering and business teams to coordinate repairs, aggregate functional inputs, and author basis-of-estimate documents for upcoming sustainment contracts. You'll also conduct root-cause analysis on field returns, characterize failure modes, and deliver actionable feedback to improve production processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead fault isolation, troubleshooting, test-data analysis, and root-cause investigations.
- Disposition repair instructions and document workflows in maintenance data-collection systems (AMS and Apriso).
- Oversee and track repairs, retrofits, and upgrades.
- Serve as a primary logistics contact, updating stakeholders on hardware status and repair progress.
- Analyze failure modes and provide technical feedback to production and engineering to enhance reliability.
- Consolidate functional inputs and author basis-of-estimate documents for future sustainment contracts.
Basic QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or Similar Engineering discipline
Minimum 2 Years of Experience related to Manufacturing Engineering Disciplines (Product/Process/Operations/Quality)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be a US Citizen- This role requires a US Secret Clearance and special access due to work location.
Desired SkillsExperience in Windchill / SAP / Apriso
Experience in failure investigation
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00
