Sustainability Analyst

Position Summary

The Sustainability Analyst supports International Paper's sustainability strategy through carbon accounting, product carbon footprint (PCF) development, customer sustainability support, and sustainability program execution. This role will support Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, our Product Carbon Footprint Dashboard, respond to customer sustainability requests, coordinate customer engagement events, and contribute to sustainability initiatives that support business growth and customer partnerships.

Pay Grade - PL 8

$73,800 - $86,600 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support GHG accounting, emissions reporting, and carbon data management.


  • Support and help maintain the product carbon footprint (PCF) dashboard and related customer reporting.


  • Serve as a power user for Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, supporting data validation, emissions calculations, and reporting.


  • Respond to customer sustainability inquiries, questionnaires, and data requests.


  • Create sustainability presentations, communications, and customer-facing materials.


  • Participate in customer meetings to provide sustainability expertise and support commercial opportunities.


  • Coordinate planning and execution of the Walk in the Woods event and other customer engagement opportunities around sustainability.


  • Conduct sustainability research, benchmarking, and analysis on emerging trends, regulations, and customer expectations.


  • Support sustainability reporting, strategic initiatives, and special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.


  • 2-5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, carbon accounting, environmental reporting, or a related field.


  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.


  • Experience with data analysis and Microsoft Office applications.


  • Preferred: Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA), product carbon footprints, GHG accounting, Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, and customer-facing sustainability support
