Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Surveillance/Guidance Analyst to support our Software Mission Assurance Business Unit.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Assist with various software and system analysis activities that include test and systems validation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and flight/ground test execution.
  • Support in the analysis and reporting of flight, ground, and characterization test events.
  • Technical focus areas can include any of the following list:
    • Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)
    • Radar Cross Section (RCS) signatures
    • Optical signatures
    • Telemetry


Essential Skills for the Role:

Technical Skills:
  • Radar Systems: A comprehensive understanding of radar principles and signal processing.
  • Data Analysis: The ability to analyze complex datasets, and knowledge of analysis programs/languages.
  • Programming: Ability to read program code and identify areas with discrepancies.
  • Software Analysis: Ability to evaluate software documentation including descriptions, flowcharts, and requirements for completeness and accuracy.


Analytical and Soft Skills:
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to critically evaluate information, identify trends, and assist in the development of solutions to complex problems.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing detailed reports and briefings.
  • Collaboration: The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate with government agencies and military personnel is crucial.


Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Radar, Surveillance, or Radar Software Analysis.
  • Experience with C++ and MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time-sensitive issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to include oral and written ability to communicate detailed technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Systems level experience with radar, sensors, and/or similar systems.
  • Experience in any or all of the following disciplines: Design, Trajectory, Guidance Navigation and Control, Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signatures, Optical Signatures, Telemetry.


Schedule: M-F, 8-5

Work Location: Customer-site

Travel: Up to15%
