Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Surgery Nurse at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you willprepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in our 13 state-of-the-artOR suiteswithin aLevel One Trauma Center(24/7 operations, 1:1 nurse ratio). This pivotal role ensures excellent nursing care for diverse multi-specialty cases (Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Plastics/Reconstruction) when patients are at their most vulnerable.
Every day you will provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, organizing and prioritizing patient care activities while balancing patient needs and comfort. You will serve as a patient advocate, utilizing holistic care practices and adapting to swift changes in patient conditions. You9ll also engage with the latest technology, continuously enhancing your skills, and actively participate in process and quality improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment. Self-scheduling and in-house anesthesia support your focus on patient healing and outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you mustmaintain focus while multitasking, remain calm under pressure, and exercise sound judgment in emergencies. - Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
- Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
- Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
- Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Job Requirements
Required
- Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Foreign Equivalent
- Registered Nurse: AZ
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months
Preferred
- One (1) year surgery RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
