Duties

Help

  • You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist to serve as the Division Head for the Asset Management Division at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC).
  • You will provide strategic oversight of all material, asset management, warehouse operations, and logistics integration.
  • You will orchestrate end-to-end supply chain solutions, leveraging advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like Navy ERP/SAP to drive data-driven decisions.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring mission readiness and maintaining full compliance with federal regulations and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) protocols.
  • You will provide strategic direction and oversight for all material, asset, and warehouse management functions.
  • You will drive data-driven decision-making using advanced proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • You will orchestrate end-to-end supply chain solutions to support mission readiness, including high-level procurement planning, optimizing inventory levels, and strategically redistributing excess materials.
  • You will resolve complex logistical challenges that impact the facility, ensuring that property, assets, and shipments are synchronized with manufacturing operations so that necessary material is always available.
  • You will serve as the primary authority for all supply transactions and material movements.
  • You will ensure full compliance with federal regulations and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) protocols to keep the organization audit-ready
  • You will lead and develop a team of supply management professionals.
  • You will plan and assign work, set priorities, evaluate performance, make hiring decisions, and find ways to improve production and reduce bottlenecks.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and providing strategic oversight of integrated logistics, supply chain, and asset management programs, including the use of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Additional information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point; thus the salary range may be capped at the GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $184,760. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.

This announcement uses the Acquisition Demo Business and Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
