Job Title: Supply Chain Strategic Programs LeadThe RoleLocated at our North American Headquarters in Davidson, North Carolina, the Supply Chain Strategic Programs Lead plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing Trane Technologies' sustainability and diversity strategies within the supply chain. Reporting to the Supplier Diversity and Sustainability Leader, this position collaborates closely with key internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, improve processes, and promote sustainable and inclusive practices.
What are the principal responsibilities of this job?• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain sustainability programs aligned with corporate ESG goals and external frameworks (e.g., CSRD, SEC climate disclosures, OECD due diligence guidance).
• Manage small and diverse supplier identification and onboarding, performance tracking, and internal/external reporting.
• Implement human rights due diligence processes across the supply chain, with a focus on conflict minerals compliance (e.g., CMRT/EMRT) and forced labor risk mitigation.
• Conduct supply chain sustainability maturity assessments and supplier segmentation to identify ESG risks and opportunities, integrating findings into sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Partner with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and Sustainability teams to ensure alignment of policies, procedures, and supplier expectations.
• Support supply chain digitization efforts by enhancing data collection, automation, and reporting capabilities across ESG metrics, supplier disclosures, and traceability systems.
• Drive supplier engagement and capability building, including training, communications, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to broader strategic supply chain initiatives as needed, including resilience planning, responsible sourcing innovation, and cross-functional transformation projects.
• Lead and support broad Supply Chain Strategic programs that advance enterprise priorities, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and enable scalable, forward-looking supply chain capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, sustainability/ESG, procurement, or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain human rights due diligence, including conflict minerals regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank Section 1502) and global responsible sourcing standards.
• Experience with supplier diversity programs.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and regulatory landscapes (e.g., CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex datasets and support supply chain digitization initiatives (e.g., supplier platforms, dashboards, traceability tools).
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong project management, business acumen and analytical capabilities
