  • Develop flexibility targets for supply chain components to meet customer demands.

Job Description:

The supply chain performance engineer performs analysis to identify and develop business improvement opportunities and to evaluate return on investment (ROI) of the opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for the daily Clean To Build scheduling for the Assembly and Packaging processes at the Lafayette Engine Center.
  • Collaborates with Industry Group liaisons to ensure customer priority is considered in all scheduling activity
  • Drive collaboration between internal departments (Machine Shop, Procurement, Assembly, Packaging) to create the most efficient build plan possible based on material availability and factory position.
  • Lead the daily LPSD Clean to Build process meeting for 3500, 3600, & C175 as well as Clean to Ship initiatives.
  • Lead daily cross function meetings between Supply Chain and Packaging to ensure the daily Packaging Plan aligns with material availability.
  • Report out on assembly and Packaging daily results and build status and speaks to roadblocks to the daily plan.
  • Lead the effort to develop flexibility/agility targets at a component level to ensure our supply base can consistently deliver material in the timeframe required to satisfy customer expectations
  • Develop and enhance tools & processes to proactively assess our supply base's ability to meet potential volume increases (supplier ramp/risk assessment process)
    • This position addresses day-to-day supplier constraints to improve factory's performance and its ability to rapidly respond to business requirements.


Education
Bachelor's degree from college or university related to Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Management or applicable experience.

Top Candidates will also have:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management or similar discipline.
  • Strong understanding of engine flow through each of the LEC Assembly and Packaging lines
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, equations, macros, VLookup)
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI and SQL knowledge and experience (ability to create and expand)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of lean concepts and tools.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain planning processes and analytical tools.
  • Working knowledge of common supply chain systems
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Extremely strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common supply chain processes across multiple departments within a facility.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and solid product knowledge
  • A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Problem Solving: Extensive Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Project Management: Extensive Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Logistics Management: Extensive Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

Procurement: Extensive Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.

Supply Chain Management - MFG: Extensive Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
