Full Job Description
As a Supply Chain Planner at Senra Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring material readiness for production and maintaining accurate clear-to-build (CtB) status for assigned work orders. You will serve as a key coordination point between Supply Chain, Inventory, Production, Engineering, and Programs to proactively identify shortages, expedite materials, allocate inventory, and remove material-related barriers to production.
This role is highly execution-focused and requires strong organizational skills, urgency, and attention to detail. Success is measured by material readiness, clear-to-build attainment, shortage resolution, and ensuring production starts on time.
What you'll own:
• Manage material readiness for assigned orders from release through production start.
• Maintain accurate clear-to-build (CtB) status and projected material availability dates for all assigned work orders.
• Monitor material shortages and proactively drive resolution before they impact production schedules.
• Allocate available inventory across work orders based on production priorities and customer commitments.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to expedite critical material deliveries.
• Partner with Inventory to validate material availability, transactions, receiving status, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Programs to resolve BOM discrepancies, obtain alternate part approvals, and material-related engineering issues.
• Support work order readiness reviews and provide material status updates during production planning meetings.
• Maintain accurate shortage tracking, supplier updates, and recovery plans within ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor open purchase orders and ensure delivery dates align with production requirements.
• Escalate material risks and supply constraints that may impact on-time delivery.
• Partner with Production Coordinators and Supervisors to ensure production priorities align with material availability.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring shortages and material planning issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of material planning processes, clear-to-build workflows, and planning data accuracy.
What you'll bring to the team:
• 3+ years of experience in material planning, production control, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Inventory, Procurement, Quality, and Program Management teams.
• Strong sense of urgency and ownership in resolving material-related issues.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and execution focus.
• Ability to identify risks and drive issue resolution with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
Preferred Qualifications
• Aerospace, defense, electronics, cable assembly, or wire harness manufacturing experience.
• Experience managing supplier expedites and shortage resolution.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience partnering with IT Systems to build and improve ERP material planning tools and reports.
• Experience using PowerBI and large data set-analysis savvy.
Key Deliverables
• Maintain accurate clear-to-build status for all assigned work orders.
• Ensure material shortages are identified and escalated ASAP.
• Drive closure of material shortages, late supplier deliveries, and inventory issues impacting production.
• Maintain recovery plans for all material-constrained work orders.
• Support achievement of factory on-time delivery and schedule attainment goals.
• Ensure production starts on time through proactive management of material readiness and supply risk
Compensation:
• Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
• Salary Range:$75,000-$100,000
• This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA.
