OverviewThe role of Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director Finance and Administration and is responsible for overseeing and managing the mine’s overall supply chain, procurement, logistics strategy, and operations. The position ensures process efficiency and productivity and assists in optimizing the mine’s operating and capital cost structure.
Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC., Vancouver or Prince George offce.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems
- Provide leadership and direction to the Supply Chain team to provide an effective, efficient service on Artemis’ behalf
- Oversee all areas in Supply Chain including purchasing, warehousing, inventory, and contracts administration
- Establish, develop, implement, maintain, and constantly improve the systems and processes of warehouse, logistics, procurement, and all areas of responsibility
- Ensure procurement complies with the Company’s delegation of authority policy
- Ensure the Supply Chain objectives are aligned to support and deliver the company goals and strategy
- Manage Supply Chain budget along with site-based reporting
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the overall business goals and objectives
- Supplier Relationship Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement strategies to enhance supplier quality, delivery, and cost effectiveness
- Develop procurement strategies and policies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services
- Coordinate the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and distribution
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance
- Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, systems, and procedures
- Oversee contract administration and resolve any issues that arise with contracts
Qualifications
- Degree in business or related subject
- Recognized professional certification in Procurement, Supply, Logistics and/or Inventory advantageous
- 10+ years in senior supply chain and material management rules in a mining environment preferably a startup project
- Extensive experience with ERP / purchasing and inventory platforms
- Supply, logistics and warehousing management system experience
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- A proven successful track record of leading teams and managing people
- Demonstrated commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment
- Strong organization, planning, negotiation, analytical and critical thinking skills
- A team player and with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
