Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Status: Full Time, Salary

Location: Bellingham, WA (on-site)

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000/year (based on interview outcome and experience)

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing raw materials and finished goods distribution required to support blending operations and sales activities at various locations across North America. This role ensures the timely availability of materials to meet production schedules and customer commitments while driving cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency. The Supply Chain Manager works cross-functionally with operations, technical, sales, and logistics teams to maintain ISO 9001 compliance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and manage a high-performing supply chain organization capable of supporting the company's evolving operational requirements and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Create and standardize supply chain best practices and SOPs.
  • Source and purchase materials, including but not limited to specialty/commodity chemicals, industrial equipment, packaging materials, facility supplies, and other operational needs.
  • Lead supply chain efforts during ERP transition and conversion.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations based on cost, quality, and lead time; issue purchase orders accordingly.
  • Source and manage supplier and tolling partner relationships to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and lead times to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against defined metrics; maintain the approved supplier list.
  • Proactively Setup and Manage Distribution Centers/Warehousing/freight lanes as needed
  • Develop and execute cost savings initiatives and secondary sourcing strategies to reduce risk and spend.
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce supply chain costs.
  • Partner with operations and sales to establish reorder points and accurate demand planning
  • Respond to internal requests for new products and services; track and communicate the status of existing orders.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of inventory movements and transactions.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical procurement, logistics, and/or supply chain within a manufacturing or chemical industry environment.
  • Experience sourcing and purchasing chemicals, industrial materials, or MRO supplies.
  • Ability to analyze supplier quotes and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external coordination.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials procurement, handling requirements, or chemical industry regulations.
  • TRAVEL: 15-25%.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience Using NetSuite / Blend Apps.
  • ASCM Supply Chain Certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems for purchasing, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) environment.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • This role will require the ability to move, stand, sit, bend, lift, and turn freely. Most work is completed in an office setting. Position will be required to visit company sites which may include but is not limited to: manufacturing sites, water treatment facilities, mills, or related. Travel 15-25% required.
