About the role

Job Summary

Sulzer Pump Services is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage 12 locations nationwide. You will be responsible for setting up, supporting, and continuous improvement of the Pump Services Product Line and its supply chain management program.
  • Identifying and managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of raw materials and components.


  • Coordinating the transportation, warehousing, and storage of goods to ensure they reach their destinations efficiently and cost-effectively.


  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels of materials and finished products, analyzing inventory data, and ensuring enough supplies are available for production and customer orders.


  • Forecasting demand, planning production schedules, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to align output with market needs.


  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to ensure smooth collaboration and address issues.


  • Continuously reviewing and analyzing existing logistical functions and processes to identify areas for improvement and developing policies to increase efficiency.


  • Identifying and implementing strategies to minimize costs throughout the supply chain, from sourcing to delivery.


  • Streamlining processes and optimizing resource allocation to increase output and improve overall operational performance.


  • Ensuring timely and reliable delivery of products to customers, which contributes to a positive customer experience.


  • Utilizing performance data and analytics to make informed decisions and guide strategies for improvement.


  • Identifying potential issues within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions or sudden spikes in demand, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree OR


  • Bachelor's degree in business relevant to supply chain, vendor management, business analysis


  • 5 Years relevant experience in manufacturing with supply chain management and business analysis responsibilities


  • Minimum of 5-year P&L responsibility
