Job DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Assembly & Test Technician to join our manufacturing floor, working onsite and reporting to the VP of Operations.
Objectives of this RoleSourcing & Supplier Management- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers; maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and conduct formal supplier business reviews.
- Source materials and components; issue and manage purchase orders through the full procurement lifecycle.
- Maintain supplier scorecards (OTD, quality, cost) and measure purchase price variance (PPV) on a monthly basis; drive supplier corrective actions (SCA/SCAR) in coordination with Quality Engineering.
Delivery & Inventory- Proactively track inbound shipments and manage outbound customer deliveries; own customer OTD performance and escalate supply or capacity risks before they affect committed ship dates.
- Own inventory accuracy and working capital targets; oversee warehouse operations including receiving, inspection release, kitting, storage, and shipping with full AS9100D traceability.
Planning & ERP- Own CSI SyteLine ERP supply chain modules; maintain data integrity, reporting, and user adoption.
- Lead monthly SIOP process and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS); validate supplier and internal capacity against program commitments; participate in contract reviews to identify supply chain flow-downs and delivery obligations.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement- Ensure compliance with DFARS/FAR, counterfeit parts avoidance (AS6081), and DCMA interface requirements; manage DMSMS/obsolescence risk through proactive identification, lifetime buys, and alternate sourcing; support MRL assessments and supply chain readiness gap closure.
- Lead and develop the supply chain team; apply Lean tools (VSM, 5S, kaizen) to drive continuous improvement across supply chain processes.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of supply chain / operations experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Hands-on ERP experience; SIOP and MPS ownership experience.
- Supplier development and scorecard management; DCMA interface / military compliance familiarity.
- DMSMS / obsolescence management experience; MRL framework familiarity (Thread E supply chain readiness).
- AS9100D quality system knowledge; strong negotiation and procurement skills.
- Lean tools: VSM, 5S, kaizen, kanban; project management skills (PMP or equivalent a plus).
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (ITAR/EAR).
Preferred Qualifications- APICS CPIM certification.
- PMP certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- CSI SyteLine experience
Salary range: $85,000 to $125,000 based on experience
