Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, supplier management, ERP system oversight, and material coordination for BESS projects and associated components. This role manages the end-to-end supply chain process, from RFP through contract execution, supplier qualification, ERP implementation/maintenance, and material logistics. The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate across functions to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant delivery of materials and services. The role may require up to 15% travel and is based in Teaneck NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Supply Chain & ERP Management

  • Lead procurement of BESS, cells, modules, battery racks, inverters, PCS, transformers, controllers, skid integrators, and contract manufacturers.


  • Manage ERP system setup, configuration, and ongoing optimization to support supply chain workflows (e.g., supplier master data, purchase orders, contract management, inventory tracking).


  • Develop demand and supply plans aligned with business and project needs.


  • Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, new vendors, and tariff/market risks.


  • Implement procurement strategies that balance cost, schedule, and compliance.


Sourcing and Negotiation:

  • Create RFPs, evaluate and select ensuring technical and commercial alignment.


  • Negotiate supply agreements and project orders, focusing on cost competitiveness, delivery terms, and service-level agreements.


  • Manage change orders, con tra ct compliance, and accurate ERP record-keeping.


  • Ensure alignment with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.


Supplier Relationship & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships that align with Qcells' strategic goals.


  • Conduct and manage supplier pre-qualification, audits, and onboarding.


  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions.


  • Resolve disputes and provide supply chain input to solution sales teams.


Material Management & Coordination

  • Manage inventory, logistics, and delivery schedules, leveraging ERP for visibility and efficiency.


  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to optimize material flow and prevent bottlenecks.


  • Lead initiatives for cost reduction and process improvement across the supply chain.


Reporting & Analytics

  • Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, cost savings, and market trends.


  • Maintain cost and supplier performance databases.


  • Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by Management.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement and contract management


  • Required experience in: BESS, Inverter, PCS, transformers, Skid integrators etc.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar and/or construction field project at the project size of over $15M in procurement of equipment/material or subcontracting


  • Preferred experience in Solar or Renewable Energy


  • Knowledge in contract management


  • Change order management experience


  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast pace, professional, team environment with minimal supervision


  • Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately and in support of project schedules and other deadlines


  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Confidence communicator and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization


  • Experience in conducting supplier reviews and evaluation, and maintaining good business relationships


  • Computer literacy with an advance knowledge on Microsoft office including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.


  • SAP Experience preferred


  • Able to identify, investigate and solve problems that arise in timely manner


COMPENSATION:

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is:

  • Zone 1 (Bay Area, NYC): $135,400 - $162,400


  • Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $124,100 - $148,800


  • Zone 3 (All Others): $112,800 - $135,300


The applicable salary range is based on the employee's primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
