Full Job Description
Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for Master Scheduling, Materials Planning, Warehouse Management, Receiving, Sequencing, Shipping, and Inventory Control in Monroe and its offsite locations. Additionally, responsible for planning and purchasing of nonproduction materials and services. Leads continuous improvement efforts to implement best practices and methodologies, manages SAP Master Data, MRP Usage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works closely with and provides guidance for Customer Service Personnel on site as needed.
  • Coordinates the system for new product launches, including SAP master data, initial inventory build-up, purchase order establishment, and forecasts, by implementing and maintaining best-practice materials settings and reporting.
  • Responsible to drive and maintain 95% inventory accuracy, cycle count program and semi-annual physical inventory reconciliation program.
  • Continuously improve inventory days, including implementing a strategy to absorb increase/decrease in customer volume without impact to ongoing operations. Optimizes / minimizes plant-wide inventory with proper safety stock.
  • Monitors and reports all key performance indicators inclusive but no limited to inventory mgmt., planning, freight, packaging and Nonproduction materials (Including recyclables)
  • Responsible to ensure just in time supply of the production with packaging material, raw material, WIP and components, and for resolving critical stock shortage issues.
  • Responsible to drive and maintain $0 expedited inbound and outbound freight.
  • Provides leadership to others in materials matters or to direct reports as assigned. When direct reports are assigned, responsible for selection and hiring, performance management and accountability for execution within the team.
  • Fulfillment of customer supply chain requirements in the plant (delivery service, information quality)
  • Responsible to drive high performance of operational supply chain (material and information flow) in the plant.
  • Lead annual Budget / Plan development for Materials, Freight, Packaging and Nonproduction purchasing areas and ongoing controlling to ensure actual trend is in line or better than established plan by driving Continuous optimization of the supply chain processes and costs.
  • Responsible to ensure an efficient and effective management of incoming, warehouse and distribution logistics.
  • Responsible to ensure an efficient and stable production planning and controlling.
  • Support the administration of IT related topics for supply chain in the plant.
  • Support the definition, implementation and improvement of supply chain standards.
  • Any other planning, organizing, leading and controlling that is required to run the Supply Chain function efficiently and effectively
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university.
  • Eight to ten years related experience in materials management background in manufacturing with the emphasis on procurement, production planning, and inventory control.
  • APICS certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ERP Systems and operations.
