Supply Chain Manager - Full-Time

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing, leading, and measuring supply chain logistics processes within the facility. This position oversees receiving, distribution, inventory management, and related logistics operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain performance. The role provides leadership to supply chain team members, supports customer service excellence, and collaborates with clinical and operational departments to ensure materials and supplies are available to meet organizational needs. This position drives process improvement, operational compliance, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction while supporting organizational goals and supply chain best practices.

Essential Functions
  • Leads daily supply chain operations related to receiving, inventory management, distribution, and logistics activities.
  • Supervises supply chain team members and provides direction, support, training, and performance management to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Monitors operational performance and implements improvement plans based on observations, operational metrics, and performance data.
  • Oversees inventory control processes to ensure appropriate supply levels, inventory accuracy, and effective utilization of resources.
  • Manages receiving and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Participates in product conversions and works collaboratively with leadership, clinicians, and team members to ensure successful implementation.
  • Communicates product changes and ensures inventory records, par locations, labels, and ordering systems are updated accurately and timely.
  • Conducts routine customer rounding to build relationships, identify concerns, and promote customer service excellence.
  • Implements and monitors internal controls to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, contracts, and supply chain standards.
  • Analyzes operational and financial reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
  • Develops and implements corrective action plans to address operational and financial performance concerns.
  • Partners with clinical, operational, and administrative departments to support organizational initiatives and supply chain objectives.
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and organizational standards.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare supply chain logistics operations, inventory management, receiving, and distribution processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing materials management and ERP systems, including PeopleSoft.
  • Understanding of hospital operations, clinical departments, and healthcare supply chain functions.
  • Ability to lead, develop, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data and develop improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, logistics management, and supply chain best practices.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and operational performance management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, clinicians, vendors, and support departments.
  • Experience utilizing Premier Database preferred.
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft MMIS preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a logistics or supply chain environment preferred.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Field of Study
  • Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.

Work Experience
  • Two years of healthcare supply chain experience required.
  • One year of PeopleSoft experience preferred.
  • Five years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Additional Information
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience; or
  • Associate Degree and four years of related experience; or
