Supply & Trading ManagerThe Supply & Trading Manager is responsible for securing competitive, long-term cheese whey supply while maximizing the value of cheese and cream co-products. This role leads supply planning, trading, and logistics activities to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment, optimal factory utilization, and sustainable value creation across the dairy network.
Vacancy Description The Supply & Trading Manager is accountable for developing and executing sourcing, trading, and logistics strategies that ensure reliable whey supply and maximize the commercial value of cheese and cream co-products produced alongside whey protein operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring global whey market trends and translating insights into sourcing, trading, and risk management strategies
- Building and managing strategic supplier partnerships within the dairy network
- Leading commercial contract negotiations and actively managing exposure to market volatility
- Maximizing value through portfolio management, pricing discipline, and market optimization
- Driving robust production planning processes to optimize manufacturing capacity
- Managing transportation activities to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant logistics
- Ensuring strong cross-functional alignment with Operations, Sales, and S&OP teams
- Leading, coaching, and developing the Supply & Trading team to deliver high-quality execution
What We Ask - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, sales, or supply chain management; experience in whey or dairy ingredients strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation and contract management expertise
- Deep understanding of dairy supply chains and market dynamics
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage market risk
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
