The RoleAmphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a
SupplierQuality Engineer to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in
Mesa, AZ.
The
Supplier Quality Engineer will support quality engineering responsibilities relative to sub-tier suppliers. The primary focus of the role is to identify, resolve, and eliminate quality issues deriving from the supply base.
The key responsibilities of the
Supplier Quality Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Supplier Quality Metrics: Scrap, NCMR's, SCAR's, & Scorecard Mgmt.
- Manage critical-to-business suppliers' quality performance metrics
- QIP (Quality Improvement Plans), ZDM (Zero Defect Mission), & QBR's (Quarterly Business Reviews)
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical supplier counterparts
- Coordinate and oversee supplier quality recovery plans relative to nonconforming material escapes
- Technical internal problem-solving support to issues determined to come from external processing
- Organize supplier on-site audits and assessments (ISO9001 & AS9100)

The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a
Supplier Quality Engineer at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or equivalent engineering practices
- Minimum of 3 years' production or manufacturing technical experience preferred
- Strong communication skills required (written and verbal)
- Preferred skill set in manufacturing practices: CNC machining, molding, plating and assembly operations
- GD&T knowledge and practice required
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and Data3/AS400 MRP System
- Travel requirement: up to 50%, may include international locations
- Some travel may be at a day's notice as business critical issues arise on occasion, most travel will be scheduled
- Standard physical requirements in office setting, extended periods of sitting and standing with minimal lifting
