POSITION TITLE: Supplier Quality Development Engineer POSITION DUTIES: evaluate new and existing suppliers' Quality Systems and Manufacturing Processes and influence manufacturing strategy; identify risks and implement rigorous action plans to bring suppliers to BRP standards; ensure supplier involvement in product development through quality design reviews and other activities as appropriate; conduct supplier quality assessments and provide quality audit reports/ recommendations; initiate and resolve corrective action requests through Corrective Action Report (CAR) process; support and validate supplier capacity with run-at-rate; continuously influence to improve supplier performance and optimize processes to ensure a constant supply of quality parts to production; coordinate PPAP level requirements and compliance to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) process; propose and drive quality improvement plans for all suppliers and commodities; collaborate with purchasing, engineering, operations, and production quality personnel to analyze issues and support solutions; maintain and develop supplier relationships; promote effective communication with regular project follow-ups. RATE OF PAY: Employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
