Cyient, Inc. is seeking an experienced
Supplier Lead Auditor to oversee supplier quality and compliance initiatives across our supply chain. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive supplier audits, assessing Quality Management System (QMS) effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with
AS9100 standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong auditing expertise, experience with supplier quality management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through effective corrective action processes.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, conduct, and document supplier audits in accordance with AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and Cyient's internal procedures.
- Evaluate supplier Quality Management Systems (QMS) through readiness assessments, process reviews, and on-site audits.
- Identify nonconformances, assess risks, and work collaboratively with suppliers to develop and implement effective Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
- Monitor supplier corrective action plans and verify timely and effective closure of audit findings.
- Provide guidance and support to suppliers regarding AS9100 requirements, quality best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform supplier performance evaluations and identify opportunities to enhance quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate audit documentation, reports, and records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of Cyient's Supplier Quality Management Program.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Lead Auditing within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Certified or experienced AS9100 Lead Auditor with a strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience conducting supplier audits, readiness assessments, and Quality Management System evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of corrective and preventive action methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with quality management tools, audit reporting, and documentation systems.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications - AS9100 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent quality auditing certification.
- Experience with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or FAA-regulated environments.
- Familiarity with NADCAP, AS9145, APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality management processes.
- Experience working with Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace, GE Aerospace, Boeing, Airbus, or similar aerospace organizations.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
