Applied Materials' Global Supply Chain has an opportunity for an experienced Supplier Account Manager (SAM) to manage the Semiconductor Parts Cleaning Commodity.

This role will touch multiple Business Units in the Applied Materials Semiconductor Products Group organization. The SAM will be responsible for setting strategy for the Cleaning space as well as providing leadership to Materials Projects Managers and Engineering teams working on designing and commercializing supply chains for new products. This SAM will be also be responsible for Supplier relationships of existing suppliers as well as on boarding new suppliers to drive new differentiated technology per the Commodity Strategy.

Along with managing and achieving metrics such as material cost, lead time, dual sourcing, and supply continuity risk mitigation, the individual will be presenting the team's supply chain strategies to executive management. Experience with Semiconductor Parts Cleaning and Supply Chain will be advantageous for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, aligns and implements commodity strategies.
  • Negotiates and manages the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.
  • Engages with the PLC process to ensure alignment with the commodity strategies.
  • Directs new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.
  • Drives resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time, which may include engagement with sub-tiers in the supply chain.
  • Develops and presents high level cost reduction opportunities.
  • Approves/final authority, delivers and manages Supplier Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Drives formal supplier performance reviews.

Experience with Semiconductor Parts Cleaning and Supply Chain will be advantageous for this role.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
