Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN in the FLEET UNDERSEA WARFARE READINESS AND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS DIVISION within the UNMANNED AND THEATER UNDERSEA WARFARE SYSTEMS DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Duties

Help

• You will serve as a Branch Head responsible for the management of Branch workload, oversight of engineering, planning and logistics, and mechanical and electrical/electronic repair.
• You will perform the full range of supervisory duties to include personnel recruiting, development and performance management, managing the process of the division, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
• You will schedule work and resolve management requirements when they arise and be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities, interface with Program/Project Managers and customers, and manage Depot processes/workload.
• You will apply knowledge of the full spectrum of disciplines performed in the branch such as electronics, mechanical and batteries.
• You will apply technical expertise to support Anti-Submarine Warfare Fleet training, Research and Development Range testing, preparation of experimental vehicles, and Unmanned Undersea Vehicle maintenance Support.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or overseeing the testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, or upgrading of electrical/electronic or mechanical components or systems related to unmanned systems projects.
