Summary

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) for Regional Execution (RE) and is an authoritative adviser to management regarding establishing and monitoring operational policies/procedures in significant functional and program areas that encompass the overall security cooperation (SC) program.

As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY ASSISTANCE ANALYST at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Responsible for developing, promulgating, and monitoring policies, procedures, and special projects that ensure SC programs operate in an effective and responsive manner throughout the DoD
  • Establishes/maintains contact with congressional aides and staff, as needed, to coordinate responses and provide requested information about assigned SC programs.
  • Provides oversight for the analysis, development and coordination of FMS, and training and equipping, and direct commercial contracts policy and procedures within the DoD and with other agencies, including the DoS, DoC, and the Department of Treasury (DoT)

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-15 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level grade level in the Federal service:

  • Developing, promulgating, and monitoring policies, procedures, and special projects that ensure Security Cooperation programs operate in an effective and responsive manner
  • Provides oversight and insight for coordination of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).


Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
