The incumbent will serve as Deputy Director of the Defense Language and National Security Education Office and will be responsible for Department's foreign language, regional expertise, and culture Defense Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) programs to include foreign language education and training at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center and the Defense Language Institute English Language Center.

As a Supervisory Program Analyst at the GS-0343-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serves as a senior advisor to Department of Defense executives on organizational priorities, strategic planning, operational performance, workforce capabilities, policy, and resource investment decisions; leads workforce development, training, readiness, and organizational effectiveness initiatives designed to strengthen employee capability and organizational performance.
- Helps lead a multidisciplinary organization by balancing competing priorities, organizational requirements, deadlines, and strategic objectives; coordinates complex, cross-functional operations involving the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, military services, and defense agencies, building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups; supports the Director in establishing priorities, coordinating stakeholders, monitoring deliverables, and driving follow-through across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Oversees research and analysis of operational, workforce, legislative, regulatory, and policy issues; assesses legislative, regulatory, and policy changes for organizational and operational impact and develops recommendations for senior leadership; oversees development of executive presentations, reports, briefings, decision-support materials, and status updates used by senior leaders to evaluate performance, risks, priorities, and resource requirements.
- Monitors organizational performance against strategic objectives and performance measures; translates complex financial, operational, workforce, assessment and performance data into concise executive recommendations supporting resource allocation, organizational decisions, and policy implementation; develops policy and governance recommendations and coordinates updates to enterprise-level directives and guidance; identifies emerging issues and risks and recommends corrective actions.
- Oversees implementation of National Security Education Program initiatives with outreach to multiple stakeholders including hiring managers across the federal national security sector, project managers and senior leaders at Institutions of Higher Education, ROTC commands and detachments, and Service components receiving language training through university grant programs.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Management and oversight of Language, Regional Expertise and Culture (LREC) training and programming
- Analysis and reporting of LREC data, trends and requirements
- Knowledge of language proficiency assessment testing
