Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the FACILITY & MANAGEMENT DEPT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

  • You will be responsible for managing and directing production planning engineering including capabilities and operations planning.
  • You will identify, document and execute business process requirements to master scheduling for depot operations.
  • You will maintain environmental compliance of depot level repair and overhaul industrial production to produce quality products.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

A successful candidate must possess extensive executive leadership experience managing large, complex industrial operations supporting aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) or comparable heavy industrial manufacturing environments. The incumbent must be capable of immediately providing strategic direction for production planning, facilities and equipment management, industrial engineering, production control, environmental compliance, and capital investment programs.

Critical experience includes:

- Leading large multidisciplinary organizations through subordinate managers.

- Managing depot-level maintenance, aerospace manufacturing, aviation sustainment, shipyard, or comparable industrial production operations.

- Developing and executing strategic operational plans aligned with organizational objectives.

- Managing industrial facilities, infrastructure, maintenance programs, and capital investments.

- Overseeing production planning, scheduling, workload balancing, and production control activities.

- Managing large operating budgets (multi-million dollar programs) and allocating resources to achieve mission objectives.

- Leading continuous process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, AIRSpeed, or similar methodologies.

- Leading organizational transformation, technology insertion, automation, and modernization initiatives.

- Developing industrial capabilities and capacity to support changing mission requirements.

- Working with senior military, government, and industry leadership to resolve complex operational issues.

- Managing environmental compliance, safety, and regulatory programs within an industrial environment.

- Developing workforce capability through succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement.
