Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the WEAPONS SUSTAINMENT SUPPORT DIVISION, MAINTENANCE,REPAIR, AND OVERHAUL DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the assigned personnel are administratively supported to complete all assigned tasks in support of their respective programs and areas of responsibilities.
  • You will be responsible for the training and development of assigned personnel as well as all supervisory tasks described within this position description and those that may be assigned.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the input, review and approval and/or disapproval of timecards for all assigned Branch personnel.
  • You will identify, procure, and manage required tools, materials handling equipment, vehicles, parts, support equipment, and test equipment, to ensure weapons maintenance requirements are accomplished cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating supervisory responsibility for a team in a logistics, maintenance, or repair environment, including performance management and training; 2) Managing all aspects of maintenance planning and execution for complex systems or equipment, such as asset identification, shipping, acquisition, and funding; 3) Developing and implementing standard operating procedures and managed inventory, tools, and support equipment to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements; 4) Demonstrating experience in quality assurance oversight, including compliance with safety, handling, storage, and transportation regulations, is required; 5) Coordinating integrated logistics support, conducting analysis to substantiate logistics policies and procedures, and ensuring technical accuracy of maintenance agreements; 6) Demonstrating strong communication skills, including preparing reports, presenting briefings, and disseminating information to staff and stakeholders..
