Duties

• You will serve as the subject matter expert on all Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) technology requirements that support the command and the greater Navy Pacific Fleet LVC agenda and mission.
• You will serve as the primary technical advisor for Joint Expeditionary Warfare Lab (JEWL) LVC monitoring the daily operations and future planning of events.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that JEWL assets are approved and be utilized to support LVC efforts across the Pacific Fleet training continuum and take into account both Navy and Marine Corps training requirements utilizing LVC.
• You will ensure adherence of all regulations, including Information Assurance (IA) requirements supporting LVC.
• You will supervise and distribute incoming work, manages leave/liberty, recommend commendations/awards, recommend official disciplinary actions when necessary, and manage group grievances/complaints not resolved at a lower level.
• You will serve as first line supervisor for one military personnel (Marine Modeling and Simulation Officer) rank of 04/03 and one GS employee (GS-12) serving in the N6 supporting the JEWL's LVC mission.
• You will coordinate future requirements within Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC) War Gaming and Information Technology (IT) Directorate and external agency staffs supporting LVC training.
• You will be responsible for technical guidance on networks, modeling and simulation, and other technical solutions that support JEWL LVC events.
• You will oversee JEWL LVC system integration, which train staffs on C4I architecture replicating at-sea functionality in an LVC environment.
• You will be responsible for planning and acquisition of future JEWL system resources that support LVC across Navy and Marine Corps networks.
• You will provide oversight, for the continuous emergent needs of MandS, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), Fires, Target and Intelligence Systems utilized during LVC events.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Required to drive a government vehicle and carry laptop computers while on travel.
• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Tech Sup Spec, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Travel is up to 30% of the time (conferences and coordination meeting that support Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC)) technology.
• Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, and executing unit-level training events in collaboration with diverse stakeholders; Familiarity with military training simulations, modeling concepts, or virtual training methodologies; Operating and troubleshooting training simulation systems, including identifying system performance issues; and modifying training scenarios based on feedback from users, instructors, or students to meet training objectives.
