General Manager Duties:As a Front Line Manager you will:- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- Evaluate work performance of subordinates and makes recommendations for outstanding performance recognition and/or disciplinary action.
- Give advice, counsel or instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
- Interview candidates for positions within the organization/unit and recommend appointment, promotion or reassignment to such positions.
- Hear and resolve complaints from employees, refer group grievances and/or more serious unresolved complaints as appropriate.
- Effect minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, recommend other actions in more serious cases.
- Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.
- Initiate ways to improve production, work processes and/or to increase the quality of the work directed.
- The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all functions of Criminal Investigation's (CI's) budget. This entails coordinating and executing service-wide financial plans and labor costing. In addition, the incumbent monitors, analyzes, and evaluates resource utilization for the financial plan and provides technical guidance and assistance relative to budgetary matters.
- In concert with the Director Planning and Finance, the incumbent coordinates budgetary matters with the Department of Treasury, other Internal Revenue Service functions, the Division Information Officer, Information Systems, and other law enforcement agencies to keep abreast of practices, policies, and procedures which relate to CI's budget.
- The incumbent directs budgetary programs, which require national coordination, and determines allocation of discretionary funds.
- The incumbent identifies operational deficiencies in criminal investigative programs, initiates corrective actions, and participates in program assistance and evaluation visitations of field offices. In addition, he/she conducts reviews to identify effectiveness of program execution through analysis of management information, field narrative reports, and field visitations.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the pay band or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service that demonstrates the required managerial skills and technical competence required to perform the job. To be qualified for this position your experience must include:
- Experience leading, coordinating, assigning, reviewing, or evaluating the work of employees, teams, contractors, or stakeholders engaged in financial management activities involving budget formulation, budget execution, financial planning, resource allocation, or monitoring of financial resources to support organizational operations.
- Experience managing financial activities associated with contracts, payroll, reimbursable agreements, interagency transactions, projects, occupancy costs, or similar organizational funding requirements.
- Experience managing interagency financial transactions, funding instruments, reimbursable agreements, or similar financial activities involving funding execution, financial monitoring, accountability, or reconciliation.
- Experience advising executives, senior leaders, or stakeholders on financial management issues, funding impacts, resource requirements, program risks, or recommended courses of action.
- Experience developing, implementing, or improving financial reporting processes, dashboards, analytical tools, performance measures, business intelligence products, or similar analytical capabilities, including analyzing financial, operational, or performance data to evaluate resource utilization, identify trends, and assess risks in support of leadership decision-making.
- Experience establishing, evaluating, or improving financial processes, internal controls, accountability measures, or operating procedures to ensure compliance and strengthen financial stewardship.
