The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Electronics Engineer/Supervisory Computer Scientist (NH-0855/1550-03) to work at Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center located at Tinker AFB, OK. While the position is currently located at Tinker Air Force Base, OK, depending on selection, it can be moved to accommodate a selection from either Hill Air Force Base, UT, or Tinker Air Force Base, OK. Lead the vanguard of defense cybersecurity and technical infrastructure. As a 1st-level supervisor and Senior Electronic Engineer/Computer Scientist, you will direct the branch responsible for safeguarding critical enclaves, defending networks, and spearheading the integration of next-generation technical infrastructure to power the Department of the Air Force's software workload deliveries.

What you will accomplish:

- Command an Elite Technical Branch: Take the helm of a highly specialized engineering team delivering critical capabilities across cybersecurity, advanced programs defense, and cyber resiliency.

- Drive Technological Evolution: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge industry standards and centralize the technical infrastructure used to execute high-consequence military workloads.

- Executive Technical Authority: Direct Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance across secure enclaves while serving as the primary authority on technology integration and software assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engineering Leadership & Supervision: Exercise 1st-level supervisory and project management authority over a professional team of Electronics Engineers and Computer Scientists.

- Comprehensive Cyber Defense: Oversee critical security initiatives, including network defense, vulnerability management, software assurance, and enclaved RMF compliance.

- Infrastructure & Workload Optimization: Direct the technical infrastructure leveraged for workload execution, driving system efficiencies and modernizing connected networks.

- Strategic Compliance & Licensing: Provide oversight for technology adoption, manage enterprise software licensing, and align future capabilities with strict security compliance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Professional knowledge of electronics engineering and/or computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices and working knowledge of other disciplines, such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering; of a broad range of engineering standards, precedents, methods, and techniques to ensure work in compliance with regulations and standards; and the applicability of such knowledge to the full range of duties concerned with design, production, and maintenance of Operational Flight Programs, Automated Test Systems, Test Program Set Software, and other systems used to support the warfighter and weapons systems program offices.

2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.

5. Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, standard configuration and finding regulations, practices and processes related to system acquisition and sustainment management functions.
