- You will develop, plan, interpret, and apply procurement regulations and policies while leading highly complex contract actions that support major acquisition programs, ensuring lawful decisions and successful mission outcomes.
- You will analyze complex procurement activities involving research, development, prototypes, production, and technical services, providing expert guidance that supports effective purchasing decisions and responsible stewardship of resources.
- You will prepare and deliver persuasive written and oral presentations for senior government officials and industry representatives, serving as a trusted advisor during high level meetings, briefings, and collaborative planning efforts.
- You will supervise personnel by assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, resolving workplace issues, supporting employee development, and making hiring and disciplinary decisions that strengthen organizational effectiveness.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current ContractIng, Professional Acq Cert in accordance w/ DoD Instruction 5000.66 certification.
QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-13 grade level or
NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1: Expert or Mastery level knowledge of Federal Government, Department of Defense, Navy and agency-specific guidelines and business practices, including statues, regulations, polices, and procedures that cover the various contract types.2: Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems acquisition programs.3: Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in order to conduct presentations and briefings at command levels.4: Ability to effectively manage and supervise a staff of professional, technical and/or administrative employees.
