General Manger Duties:
As a Senior Manager you will:- Exercise delegated managerial authority to oversee the overall planning, directing and timely execution of a program, several program segments (each of which is managed through separate subordinate organizational units), or comparable staff functions, including development, assignment, and higher level clearance of goals and objectives for supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational unit or lower organizational levels.
- Approve multi year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
- Oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.
- Manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
- Manage organizational changes throughout the organization directed or major change to the structure and content of the program or program segments directed.
- Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organizations budget.

- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- Evaluates work performance of subordinates; identifies training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.
- Provides advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
- Interviews candidates for positions in the group; recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions.

- Supervisory Probationary Period - Subject to a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period (unless already completed).
- Government Credit Card - Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
Key Requirements:- U.S Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Selective Service Registration - Males born after December 31, 1959 are required to be registered with the Selective Service System or prove they are exempt from having to do so.
- Personal Identity Verification (PIV) - Must provide 2 forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpiredoriginal or certified copies.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR IR-01:You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level within the payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression in the Federal service that demonstrates the required managerial skills and technical competence required to perform the job. To be qualified for this position your experience must include:
- Experience advocating for clients to effect resolution of tax controversy matters;
- Experience applying tax laws demonstrated by career experience in accounting, financial or legal management positions or served in a management position that includes tax administrative responsibilities;
- Experience working with operating policies, procedures, and processes of a large organization;
- Experience collaborating with multiple organizations or stakeholders to resolve complex issues, negotiate solutions, implement program initiatives, or achieve organizational objectives
- Experience communicating different tax issues, policies, practices and laws in a variety of situations and different geographic areas, including advocating for a tax position that may be considered contrary to the traditional tax interpretation;
- Experience evaluating complex issues with consideration for taxpayer rights, organizational objectives, social and economic impacts, congressional interests, and public perception.
You must also meet the following requirements- MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have:
- Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or
- Completed a formal vocational training program; or
- Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education
