In this role, you'll oversee sourcing operations, lead a team of procurement professionals, manage complex contracts, strengthen supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support our business objectives. Working across departments, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services while helping manage risk, maintain compliance, and deliver exceptional internal customer service.

This position will report to the Manager Sourcing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop Sourcing Specialists and Buyers by providing direction, training, and performance support to build a high-performing team.
- Manage day-to-day sourcing operations, prioritizing workloads and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality, value, and compliance standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, and suppliers to promote collaboration and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Negotiate, administer, and oversee contracts for services, materials, construction, software, and other business needs. Conduct risk assessments and develop contracting strategies that protect company interests while enabling business objectives.
- Lead contract development activities including proposal evaluation, scope review, insurance and bonding requirements, confidentiality provisions, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners and sourcing staff by providing guidance on purchasing methodologies, contract language, negotiations, and supplier management.
- Support supplier relationship management programs and ensure purchasing contracts are effectively executed while minimizing business risk.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, invoices, and sourcing transactions while leveraging ERP systems and sourcing tools to improve efficiency.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, improve collaboration, increase accuracy, and enhance sourcing performance across the organization.
- Manage SOX key controls, compliance reporting, attestations, documentation, and audit-related activities to support strong governance and regulatory compliance.
- Promote the value of strategic sourcing by partnering with departments throughout the company and supporting key business initiatives and projects.
- Perform additional sourcing and finance-related responsibilities as needed while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Procurement, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, contract administration, supplier management, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support employees while fostering a positive team environment.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing methodologies, contract administration, contract law, negotiation practices, and risk management principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to research issues and develop practical solutions independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams, and the ability to leverage technology to improve business processes.
- General awareness or understanding of NERC CIP standards preferred.
- Energy industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work collaboratively, support others' success, and contribute to achieving team and organizational goals.

- The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $84,000 - $116,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
