Supervisor - Resource Management
Location: Orange, CT

Reports to: Director - Finance & Operations Mmgt

Work Type: Office

The salary range for this position is based on experience level ranging from $128,000 to $160,000 plus up to 16% bonus

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of the Contractors Management team. The Supervisor works cross functionally to solicit, consolidate, analyze, and develop Networks external resource forecast. Develop and apply Avangrid processes and procedures for contractors' management. Supervise and continuously improve contractors' recruitment operations, gatekeeper approval workflows, contractor systems and data governance, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement to ensure efficiency, compliance, and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Contractors Management team; provide oversite, coaching, and feedback, through regular communication and the annual performance appraisal process.
  • Accountable for departmental results and ongoing development of team members.
  • Responsible for understanding, organizing, and structuring the work and personnel in a manner that will support the objectives of the organization.
  • Lead individual conversations and team meetings.
  • Manage and supervise to develop and apply Avangrid processes and procedures related to steps required for the contractor's hiring process and contractors' compliance.
  • Control contractors' promotions and organizational changes vs baseline and analyze financial impact to ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Establish the necessary process of contractors' approval, changes, roles & responsibilities within workforce management.
  • Work with Contract Management for current and future needs in the Embedded Contractors Frameworks that we support.
  • Guarantee that every initiative/budget/review will be communicated properly to leaders and impacted employees.
  • Guarantee implementation of every initiative identified and that expected results are delivered by the impacted business areas.
  • Develop and execute short-, medium- and long-term strategies to improve operational efficiency, team productivity and execution quality.
  • Supervise and continuously improve contractor recruitment operations, gatekeeper approval workflows, contractor systems and data governance, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement to ensure efficiency, compliance, and business alignment.
  • Empower team to resolve any agency, SME or business issues providing support as needed.
  • Engage with different stakeholders in a daily basis: Agencies, Hiring Managers, SMEs, IT, HR, Advanced Planning, etc.
  • Supervise the review of curriculums and candidates and assess risks and previous employment at Avangrid.
  • Identify processes efficiencies and automations.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining databases or utilizing existing systems.
  • Assure that information regarding status of contractors and positions are documented, including history.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in workforce management, finance, project management or a related area.
  • Position requires technical, analytical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to collaborate, influence and get work done with/through others at multiple levels of the organization including executive interaction with credibility and integrity.
  • Requires the ability to manage and effectively supervise the Contractors Management function to meet goals and to develop personnel within the group.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous people's supervisor experience.
  • Professional development in process optimization, efficiency, and automation.
