What You'll Work On- Responsible for the overall results for a single shift of the material receiving and handling department.
- Understand requirements for ingredient handling/storage and ensuring the department is aware and adhering to them
- Model and promote the behaviors that ensure delivery of high quality products for our customers while maintaining compliance with Abbott policies and procedures, meeting all local and statutory requirements including allergen, Kosher, Halal and other storage requirements
- Preparation and active participation in internal and external Quality audits, incident investigation and reporting, coupled with timely implementation of corrective and preventative action
- Manage budget accountability for headcount, overtime and direct expenses for the shift (labor) and department (direct expenses)
- Plan and organize the day-to-day Receiving labor coverage using dock and production schedules to gauge activity levels. Assist with off-shift labor coordination as needed. Anticipate and drive proper alignment and prioritization between Receiving/Line Supply and manufacturing
- Understand all key performance indicators, developing, driving and leading the execution of plans through utilization and involvement of all team and support resources
- Develop plans and execute efforts required to train and develop employees to improve overall manufacturing capability to deliver performance results. Create a learning environment and support individual learning and development plans. Coach and direct individuals and teams to meet performance goals and objectives. Directly supervises team and leads staffing activities
You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, science, food technology, or engineering
OR- High school diploma/GED and 4+ years' professional experience involving people leadership, operational execution, or quality/safety oversight in manufacturing, production, logistics, or comparable structured environments
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing work environment
- Knowledge of FDA - 21 CFR and other regulatory requirements for Infant Formula
- Experience with working on Continuous Improvement Projects

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 - $122,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
