Job Description:

Position Overview

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all Quality Control inspection activities, including Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection. This role ensures products meet customer, contractual, regulatory, and company quality requirements while supporting production schedules and organizational objectives.

The QC Supervisor provides leadership for inspection personnel, drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports AS9100/QMS compliance, and works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program teams to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction.

This position serves as a key representative of the Quality organization and acts as an advocate for quality, compliance, product integrity, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily operations of Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection teams.
  • Monitor inspection queues and production priorities to support on-time delivery objectives.
  • Ensure inspection and testing activities comply with engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, work instructions, and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective inspection processes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate staffing, workload balancing, and cross-training initiatives to improve operational flexibility and personnel effectiveness.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, nonconforming material processing, and corrective/preventive action initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and production constraints.
  • Analyze inspection metrics and operational performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits including AS9100 compliance activities.
  • Ensure employees are trained, qualified, and compliant with applicable procedures and quality requirements.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, communication, product quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management for QC personnel.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, auditors, and external agencies as required.
  • Support implementation of strategic quality initiatives and organizational objectives established by Quality leadership.
  • Perform inspections as required.
  • Coordinates/leads MRB meetings.

Qualifications Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of quality inspection or manufacturing quality experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection, MRB, NCR, RCCA, and corrective action systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Must support company safety, quality, and ethical standards always.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends and travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, moving equipment, dust, and chemicals within regulated safety limits.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout production areas as required.

Qualifications Preferred:
  • Associate degree or higher in a technical or related field.
  • Aerospace or defense industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/QMS systems and quality data reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methodologies, and verification techniques.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $72,000-133,500k. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Fisica Inc. also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, and schedule type.

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.
