How you will make contributions that matter...
  • Supervise and coach whey department employees to meet performance objectives by providing effective and strong leadership.
  • Plan and schedule daily operation of the whey plant to maximize the efficient and effective use of personnel and equipment in producing the desired quality and quantity of products.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with all plant employees.
  • Recommend changes to manufacturing procedures when necessary to maintain product specifications, minimize waste, improve efficiencies, and reduce operating costs.
  • Responsible for training of hourly employees in equipment operation, manufacturing procedures, shipping and receiving, sanitation, product loss prevention.

  • Promote safety programs and policies to reduce the number of safety incidents and near-misses.
  • Promote food safety programs and policies in to ensure first pass quality.
  • Maintains time and production records as required.
  • Directs and supervises production employees to ensure on-time production and delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost consistent with objectives to achieve operational excellence.
  • Team with plant management to support a culture that is consistent with our company values and beliefs.
  • Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities.
  • Ensures proper procedures are in place and are being followed to maximize production efficiency and quality of product.
  • Oversees instruction, implementation and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.
  • Assist other personnel as needed and will perform other duties essential to the department as requested by the production manager or plant manager.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for food safety and environmental impacts.
  • Understand and monitor Raw Whey Receiving, Lot code generation warehouse transfers and receiving in our L/N ERP system.


You are best suited for the role if you...
  • High School Diploma (Some college credits or continuing education desired).
  • 2-5 years progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing, farming or agriculture environment preferred
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop employees
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Required to take continuing education annually.
  • Obtain or possess a Wisconsin Pasteurization Certification/License within 1 year.
  • Obtain or possess a HACCP Certification within 1 year.
  • Sanitation chemical certification within 1 year.

Salary Range: $71,805 to $89,755

"Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training"
