Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of engineers and technicians engaged in designing, implementing, and maintaining process control systems. Oversees the development and implementation of control strategies and systems to optimize production processes. Manages and assigns tasks to staff, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Provides technical guidance and support to team members, troubleshoots issues, and implements improvements to enhance process efficiency and reliability. Collaborates with other departments to integrate process control systems with overall plant operations. Conducts performance evaluations, identifies training needs, and recommends personnel actions as needed.
Essential Functions
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices in design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution to meet deadlines while adhering to budget constraints.
• Implement and monitor engineering processes and standards to ensure product quality and compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and quality assurance, to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
• Establish and maintain performance metrics to monitor team productivity and project progress.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Drive technical innovation by staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Supervise professional and technical staff performing civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and environmental engineering analysis, planning, design, contracting, construction and construction management.
• Evaluate plant performance and laboratory data and provide or approve major or unusual directives for process control adjustments.
• Review and approve regulatory and technical reports.
• Oversee engineering, planning, and design projects to improve and update processes.
• Provide overall vision for the process control function and motivate employees.
• Negotiate regulatory permits and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Approve purchasing, budgeting, design upgrades, and major process control changes.

Responsibilities
Education
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A Master's degree in Engineering or relevant discipline is also beneficial.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

• A dynamic blend of office and field settings.
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions and potentially in environments with loud noise levels or moving mechanical parts.
• Ability to wear PPE with on site/location.
• The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected situations is crucial.
